The European Gaming League was started in August 2009, and since then we have learnt a lot. We will be taking the experience, both the good and the bad, with us into UNGL and hope to use this knowledge to improve both the website, the system and the overall experience for you, the users. One of ways we plan on improving this for you is through clamping down on cheaters, trolls, spammers and default hunters, we want UNGL to provide a good community environment for you to enjoy whilst gaming.

We have had a great deal of fun running EUGL, however it's time to take things to the next level. We want to give the competitive gaming community the international unification that it has been missing, and crying out for.

We will be running more cups, recruiting more admins and expanding our boundaries past Europe and into the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

Our Bravo Squad have already signed up to this New Gaming Ladder and hopefully the Delta Squad will follow suit very soon. There are ladder in CoD4 for 5on5, 4on4, 3on3, 2on2 and a 1on1 as well. At the moment we have only signed up for the 5on5, but if there is interest in the other ladders then i wil sign us up for them. As for the 1v1, everyone (if interested) can just get thos matches when they want, once they have joined the 1on1 ladder.

In the New Ladder, its been a slow start with only around 10 out of 30 clans actually playing, but lets hop eit picks up and there plenty more battles to come.

Bo "Kleineman" Kleinhesselink in December 2009 as he tried to fulfill the growing need for a new competitive map. The map was extensively beta tested by the tek9 community in the first two months of 2010 and received good ratings from the audience. After beta testing was done the map was left untouched for a while but now it is time to complete it and come to a final version. Daniel "Invine" Deen will take care of the texture/detail part now that Kleineman's job of thinking of and making the layout of the map is done. A fully functional beta will be released the 30th of May 2010 and the final version is expected to be released the 13th of June 2010.

Clans & players have until 17th May to get all there players ready and sorted to use theUAC2, There will be no excuse not to use the anti cheat as you wll have had plenty of time to try and test and fix any issues you may or may not have with it.

1. In all ClanBase ladders matches UAC2 Anti Cheat is Mandatory. All players must have the latest version of UAC2 turned ON. Each player is responsible for making sure they are running it during the match and have to make sure they input the correct war ID before starting any match. Screenshots taken by UAC must be uploaded within 48 hours after each match. Players must have at least 5 screenshots for each map which means at least 10 screenshots per match for each player. If a player has less than 10 screenshots per match (unless substituting player was used) his clan loses by forfeit.

Every player must have their UAC User ID registered on their GUID page before the match's starting time. You can read this guide in order to find your UAC User ID.

2. In case of black screenshots follow this tutorial. 5 or more black screenshots results in a match forfeit. If 1 or more players have all screenshots black it's a match forfeit, as it's the equivalent of not having all 10 valid screenshots from the match.

The rule will be edited & added to the ladders ASAP but the rule will not be live until the 17th may 2010, Good luck to everyone and lets hope this makes our game a lot cleaner and get rid of the cheaters that ruin our gaming.]]> steve@gatland7819.freeserve.co.uk (Steve Gatland) Vita Nova launch ED Public Ladder
It has been a while since the launch of season 0 and the community have been gasping for the launch of the Public Ladder for the teams who are not in preinvite and invite but today is the day. Season 0 is nearly over with a few matches left to play and overall it has been a success and ready for a full launch within the next few weeks. This new project from Vita Nova is the Public Ladder, this ladder will be a test ladder to see how we can improve our ruleset, create a good community and improve the ladder for the full launch

The format

- You can sign up to the ladder here
- The ladder will run for a total of 4 weeks and teams are allowed to play as many games as they like.
- This ladder will be strictly teams only, no mixes are allowed and their will be a strict rule in place for this. If you want to play mixes then go and play clanbase.
- Here is a guide on how to get your team set up on Enemydown, you can read it here
- The league will run from 28th April - 28th May.
- The rules can be found on the Enemydown site.
- Teams who are in the League are NOT allowed to play in the ladder.
- Teams will play 2 maps, mr12 and it will be first to 25.
- Games must be searched on #enemydown.cod4
- Certain rules will be up to the discretion of the admins

Prizes

- As this is a test ladder there will be limited prizes for this ladder.
- There will be incentives to teams to play as many games as they can in the ladder. If you are place first or second in the ladder then you will be placed in the Divison 4 of the League for the full launch.
- If you place 3rd-9th you will be places in Division 5 for the full launch of the league.
- All these teams will gain access to #cod.preinvite

If you have any problems with the league then feel free to contact the admins at #enemydown.cod4 . if you are looking for Enemydown COD4 games we advise searching them at #enemydown.cod4 at Quakenet. It is so important that you join that channel to find your games as their will be too much spam on #cod4.wars.

Delta & Bravo Squad have both signed up for this years Spring Cup and hopefully both squads will do well. We also hope that Detla will progress further than last year and bring home some silverware.

ClanBase will release more info about the cup set-up, possible prizes and more in the coming days.
